Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 16, 2026 · Last updated: June 16, 2026
Van Every Family Chiropractic Center ("Van Every," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and online forms, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. By using our website or submitting a form, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
This policy covers our public website and online registration and questionnaire forms. It does not cover the protected health information we maintain as part of your in-office care, which is governed separately by our Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. When you register for a webinar, request a guide, or fill out a form on our site, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- The answers you choose in our parent questionnaire
We use your questionnaire answers only to point you to the most relevant guide and webinar content. We store them together with your contact information, we do not share them, and we never use them for advertising. Sections 5, 6, and 7 explain how we protect, retain, and limit the use of this information.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we automatically collect limited technical information, such as the page you landed on and the source that referred you (for example a UTM link in an email), so we can understand how people find us. We store this information in our own systems. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or advertising pixels on this site.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Register you for the webinar or event you signed up for
- Send you the guide or resource you requested
- Route you to the content that best matches what you told us in the questionnaire
- Communicate with you about your registration, our practice, and wellness topics, by email and, if you opt in, by text message
- Respond to your questions and requests
- Improve our website, content, and services
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations
We use your parent questionnaire answers only to match you to the most relevant guide and to send you related follow-up about that topic. We do not use them for any other purpose.
We do not use your information to make any diagnosis, and the questionnaire is a self-identification tool only. It never tells you that your child has any condition.
3. SMS and Text Messaging (TCPA)
If you check the SMS consent box on our form, you agree to receive text messages from Van Every Family Chiropractic Center at the phone number you provide. Providing your phone number is required so our clinic team can follow up with you about your registration. Agreeing to receive text messages is a separate, optional choice, and we will not text you unless you check the SMS consent box.
The exact consent language on our form reads:
By checking this box I consent to receive SMS/text messages from Van Every Family Chiropractic Center at the number provided. Msg and data rates may apply. Text STOP to opt out.
What to expect. If you opt in, we may send you text messages such as appointment reminders and occasional wellness updates. Message frequency varies. We are not sending automated text messages at this time, and if that changes, we will only text people who have opted in.
Rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
How to opt out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message from us, and we will stop sending texts to that number. You can also ask us to remove your SMS consent at any time. Reply HELP for help.
Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Email Communications (CAN-SPAM)
When you register through our funnel, you agree to receive the webinar details and occasional wellness emails from Van Every Family Chiropractic Center. Every marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link and our physical mailing address. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we will stop sending you marketing email promptly. We may still send you transactional messages related to a specific request you made, such as the guide you asked for.
Our mailing address for these purposes is:
Van Every Family Chiropractic Center, 4203 Rochester Rd, Royal Oak, MI 48073.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our practice and our website:
- Service providers. We use trusted providers to operate our website and to manage and send our email. They may process your information only to provide those services to us, under terms that require them to protect it.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our patients, our practice, or others.
- Business transfers. If our practice is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We do not share the answers about your child from our parent questionnaire with any third party for that third party's own marketing or advertising, and we never use them to build advertising audiences.
6. Data Retention
We keep your personal information only as long as needed to provide the services you requested and to meet our legitimate business and legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.
We keep your general contact information (name, email, phone) while you remain an active lead or patient. We keep the answers from our parent questionnaire for 90 days after we deliver your matched guide, after which we delete or de-identify them.
7. Children's Privacy
Our website and forms are intended for use by parents and adults, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Our parent questionnaire is completed by a parent or guardian and may include the parent's description of a child's health and wellness concerns. We handle that information with care and make the following commitments:
- We store it only together with the parent's contact information, never as a standalone profile about a child.
- We use it only to point the parent to the most relevant guide and related follow-up.
- Only our clinic and marketing team can access it.
- We never share it outside our practice and never use it for advertising or to build advertising audiences.
- We keep it for 90 days after we deliver the matched guide, then delete or de-identify it (see Section 6).
If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, please contact us using Section 12 and we will delete it.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use only the cookies and similar technologies needed to make our website work and to remember how you arrived (for example the referral source in a UTM link). We do not use advertising cookies, third-party advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking on this site. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works for you.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You have choices about your information:
- Email. Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message.
- Text. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
- Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Cookies. Manage cookies through your browser settings.
To make any of these requests, contact us using Section 12.
State privacy rights. Residents of certain states, including California, may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of their personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to hold our providers to the same standard.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of our website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
